I’m Donia Ackad, originally from Shanghai, and a lifelong foodie with a deep love for healthy, authentic food. For years, I’ve dreamed of creating a modern Asian kitchen that brings real Shanghai flavors to life in a way that is fresh, bold, and made with care.
Blade-Shanghai is that dream, made real — an extension of Blade 1936, reimagined as a fast-casual spot with a modern twist. We serve fresh-made ramen, crispy Sheng Jian Bao (Shanghai pan-fried buns), savory wontons, and potstickers — all made fresh daily, with no preservatives and no shortcuts.
There’s nothing like this in Oceanside. It’s quick and affordable, and a better alternative to fast food with real flavor and real roots.

No visit to Blade Shanghai is complete without tasting our legendary Xiaolongbao. Hand-rolled with precision, each dumpling features a paper-thin wrapper that encases a burst of rich, savory broth and succulent filling. Our master chefs have perfected the art of the pleat, ensuring a texture that is both delicate and satisfying.Beyond dumplings, our extensive menu offers a variety of dim sum and entrees that highlight the complexity of Shanghainese cooking.
